| Level A
Learners at this level are learning to communicate to get their basic needs met. They benefit from memorizing phrases that are often heard and spoken in daily life at the bank, doctor's office, restaurant, etc. Lessons in this section give learners access to basic vocabulary as well as speaking and listening practice for conversations they may have out in the community. Practicing authentic dialogues builds confidence in learners and gives them language that they can use right away when they are out in the community. At a Clothing Store: Level A - Listening Students use simple consumer vocabulary: cash, credit, exchange, return, small, medium, large, as they ask and answer questions in a clothing store setting. A lesson for self-study is included in this lesson.
